Will there be wave runners and other boats on the lake? No. This crystal blue 157 acre lake is for the exclusive use and enjoyment of MWC. Your ride will never be interrupted by the wake of another boat or wave runner. This is important for getting the most out of your ride. See our photo gallery for photos of our beautiful lake and our new Nautique boats. How old do you have to be to wakeboard? Chalo, our coach, recently taught a 2 1/2-year-old to wakeboard. When requested, our coaches can ride alongside a student behind the boat. This is an excellent way to learn no matter what your age is. Chalo also recently taught a 67-year-old person to wakeboard. You are never too old or young to learn something new. See our "Rippers" photo gallery to see many of our students, including our youngest student ever! Do I need to bring my own equipment? No, we have everything you need. Some riders prefer to bring their own equipment, however, it is not required. The use of our equipment is FREE. All you have to do is show up! Do I need to know how to swim? No. It is not necessary. You will always be wearing a USCG approved wakeboard and water ski vest that makes you float perfectly, and it will help you to be ready to start. All of our coaches are certified in first aid and are lifeguards as well. Is it salt water? No. Our lake is spring fed and very fresh. You won't believe how clear the water is. Do you have any special packages for larger groups or frequent riders? Yes. You get 10% off when you purchase a package of five lessons. Please call 305-476-WAKE (9253) to discuss these options. Also, you can share the 5 rides or lessons purchased with your friends or family. Are you open all year round? Yes. We are open seven days a week and many of the holidays. Please check the Hours of Operation to be sure. Lessons and rides are typically offered up to an hour before sunset.
